Dalleth Gordillo & Pamela, Mexico City
Perséfone is a Mexican brand of clothes and accessories, whose design brings together current fashion elements with fabric techniques from different parts of the country; within a production frame that favors Mexican cultural expression, we promote ethic and responsable trade.
Each needlework design is the unique result of the inspiration and hard work of the craftswomen.
We select cuting-edge materials that match high quality and design standards. We work with a wide range of Mexican materials: fabrics, leather substitutes, recovered leather, microfibres.
The duration of the needlework production is variable. It depends on each weaving and needlepoint. Finishing a piece could take from one month and a half to even three months; and this particular piece can be used to manufacture around six purses.
Once finished, the needlework is transported to Mexico City, where the full design and combination of colors is carried out. With the color range and fabrics already selected, the patterns are developed and the cloth is cut and made into a purse carefully and by hand.
We collaborate with various native communities from Chiapas, Oaxaca and Guatemala. Some of them are Zinacantan, Larrainzar, San Juan Chamula, Tenejapa, Navenchauc, and San Felipe Usila.
