Barro Bruñido // Ornamental Spheres

These designs were meticulously handmade with inherited Pre-Hispanic traditions. Making each individual piece unique.

Barro Bruñido, which translate to Burnished Pottery, is a process where the pottery is given a polish with a metal called pyrite. As a result the pottery is smooth and shiny.

These spheres were made in Tonala, Jalisco by the Jimón Family. Who through out the generations have preserve this fascinating tradition.
